What we know about you is almost nothing.

SceneF has no accounts, sets no cookies of its own, runs no advertising, and embeds no third-party trackers. There is no sign-up because there is nothing to sign up for. What follows is the complete inventory of data this site touches.

Your taste profile stays in your browser

Preferences — a home theater, liked genres, a time window — are stored in your own browser’s localStorage and appended to URLs as you browse. They never reach a database on our side; ranking happens per request and is forgotten when the response is sent. Sharing a personalized link shares those preferences with whoever you send it to, because they are literally in the URL — that is the whole mechanism.

The ticket door counts crossings, not people

Every ticket link passes through a redirect on this site so we can tell theaters how many readers we sent them. Each crossing is recorded as: a timestamp, which screening, and whether the visitor’s software identified as a human browser, an AI assistant, or a bot. We do not store IP addresses, names, or any identifier that could tie a click to a person, and there is nothing linking one click to another. The aggregate figures are public at /numbers.

The page you land on belongs to the theater or its ticketing company, and their privacy policy takes over at their door. Some ticket links route through the ticketing network’s affiliate redirect, which may set its own cookies to credit the referral — that earns us a small commission from the ticketing company, never a fee from you, and it never changes what we list or the order we list it in.

Agents and the API

When an AI assistant (including the SceneF GPT or our MCP server) asks this site for showtimes, we receive only the request itself — the date, filters, and preference parameters it chose to send. We never see your conversation with the assistant, and we keep no record tied to you. The assistant’s own operator has its own privacy policy for what you typed there.

Mail and hosting

If you email info@scenef.com, we keep the correspondence like anyone keeps mail, and use it only to reply. The site is served by Vercel, whose infrastructure keeps standard, short-lived access logs to run the service; we don’t mine them.

If any of this changes, this page changes first, and the practice follows — not the other way around. Questions to info@scenef.com.
